The White Swan School of Beading
Class Schedule

Lesson One
Earrings

This lesson teaches the basic techniques
used in creating micro-macrame beadwork.
Seven earring projects are offered so far,
and plans to expand this area are in the
works. Because this lesson is in the main
members area of the school, special projects
will be made available here. The first of
these projects are the ornaments and or
light pulls.

Lesson Two
Bracelets and Watchband

By expanding on the simple knots taught
in the earring lesson, make two different
bracelets and a watchband. These bracelets
are beautifully delicate yet durable. The
technique for making buttonholes is taught
in this lesson.

Lesson Three
Pouches-Amulet Bags

These small bags are worn as necklaces. The
use of macrame as a three dimentional form
is introduced in this lesson. The strength
of the macrame knotwork lends itself to its
use as a fabric as well as a framework for
beaded designs.

Lesson Four
Necklaces

Three different necklaces are taught here.
These can be worn as a set or separately. In
this lesson the techniques used for constructing
the larger necklaces are layed-out.

Lesson Five
Bezels

Setting Stones, crystals and other found objects
are discussed in detail in this lesson. The use
of a thinner thread is introduced as a method for
making bezels with the smaller millimeter beads.

Lesson Six
Barrets and Hair Ware

In this lesson the projects will incorporate most
of the techniques that have been covered in the
previous lessons. There will be four different
projects, small, medium, and large barretts and a
hair pick. These barretts can easily be adapted to
a brooch or used as a sew on.
